Above the Clouds Honored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority

On June 5, 2010, Above the Clouds was honored by the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority at a special event held at 1:30pm at Christ The King Church, 7798 N. 60th Street.

Since 2002, Above the Clouds (ATC) has provided a safe and loving after-school environment where Milwaukee’s most vulnerable children can express themselves through ballet, cheerleading, drama, interpretive dance, music and different forms and mediums of art at no charge.

“I’m very honored that ATC has been recognized by Alpha Kappa Alpha for the work we are doing in the Milwaukee community,” said Wade.

Each year, the Pauline Redmond Coggs Foundation of Epsilon Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. identifies local civic organizations that provide services to the Greater Milwaukee community and contributes financially to their causes.

Organizations chosen are those whose activities best reflect the national sorority’s platforms, including Non-Traditional Entrepreneur, Economic Keys to Success, Health Resource Management and Economics and Economic Growth of the Black Family.
